COURSE OVERVIEW
Companies employ public relations experts to manage the perception of the company and its brands. PR practitioners must possess strong writing and organisational skills, be confident and creative and have a persuasive edge. The course will teach you to think strategically and how to perform various PR functions in a local and global environment. The PR environment also includes the glamorous world of events, from planning and organising to attending and being the face of the company. If you enjoy being in the limelight and representing a company as a brand ambassador, a qualification in PR is a perfect fit for you.

Centre for Student Relations (CSR)
The Centre for Student Relations consists of a team of online professional advisers who will provide additional academic support if you struggling, and will also help you adjust to college life; cope with the new environment and study pace and make your academic journey a successful and enjoyable experience.
Modules
Further Studies
On successful completion, you will receive a National N Diploma in Public Relations. You may also further your studies at a University of Technology. You will require a 50% pass in each subject.
Work Integrated Learning, Internships and Employmen
Our Student Support Services Department offers a variety of services to assist you on your journey to employment. It is committed to grooming our students for employment, with job readiness skills, CV writing, interview training and workshops – with the goal of providing ongoing support and assistance to our student population. In addition, our vast industry networks and partnerships will help link students to companies that are seeking specific skills.
In 2017, Berea Technical College launched the 100% Graduate Employment Programme(GEP) as a CSI initiative to help address the high percentage of unemployed youth in the country. The programmeaims to assist our students to secure the necessary Work Integrated Learning (WIL) hours and internship in order to receive their qualification and enter the job market.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS,DURATION AND NOTES
All national certificates and national ‘N’ diplomas are issued by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET).
Admission requirements
(Introduction N4-N4) National Senior Certificate/Grade 12/N3 Certificate/NCV Level 4 Certificate/ABET Level 4 Certificate.
Successful completion will allows learners to articulate to most UOTs with a proviso that they obtain at least 50% in each subject.
The minimum duration for Theoretical Studies is two years and 18 months’ work integrated learning (WIL) to satisfy the requirements of the National ‘N’ Diploma.
